Oh, man. The support from local musicians and friends that I got was nothing short of amazing. A lot of these people didn't know me very well but went out of their way to express their positive (or critical) opinions about the comic. Others were indirectly involved in making the comic or very directly involved in making the comic. Still others are just cool people that I feel bear mentioning here. Here's the list:
- Ham
- Tyson Markley, you rock. You put this all together and, though it was basically my project, you supported the hell out of it and got it to the masses, which kicked. This thing would have never happened if you hadn't gotten me off my arse and got me to write a story. And your band rocks too...
- Mike Farmer, you're a hilarious frickin' guy, and a very drawable person. Too bad yr gone, but it was fun drawing you. Now you must die, mwa ha ha ha!
- Tom Satterfield, I'm sure I annoyed you with my mindless rambling, but you're a cool guy and a great drummer. Easy to get along with too, heh.
- Marsha Satterfield, you're something else. Don't know you very well, but you are easily one of the more interesting people I've met in local music.
- Also, Mrs. Satterfield, you're really cool and support all my endeavors whenever I mention them to you... which kind of makes the "cool" even cooler.
- the Velouria Beat
- You're just a cool band, all of you, Derrick Hostetter, Julie Emrick, Laura Parsons, and especially the rockin' Jenni Black... probably the most personable band (on an individual basis) I've ever come across, and all your songs are fantastic too. You always went out of your way to thumb through my sketches and tell me your opinions about it all, so thanks for the support and criticism, if you even realized you were giving it in the first place.
- Ryan Sullivan of 1209 Towanda... you rock, you dig the Sonic Youth, you dig the Ham, you dig the comic, you dig the Paper Dolls. Stay the course! :)
- Melvin from Wasted Time, you are one of the odder scene type guys I've met, but it works. Very cool person, you are.
- Bassist for Citizen 66, thanks for your feedback, I really appreciated it.
- Brandon Ousley of Lucigen, who enjoyed criticizing my comic. Thanks a lot, chum. I actually got a lot from your little humorous comments.
- Ryan Martin, my twin brother, who also criticized my comic... I appreciated it in an unassuming way.
- Brent Cone, because you can sing way too well. And you liked the comic.
- Jason Moll, who didn't know what to make of this at all.
- All of Ham's friends who help them out at shows and stuff... I don't know all yr names, but I appreciated yr input.
- Jared from Girl Named Megan, who was nice enough to support me on his Picture Postcards website. Very cool person, kinda shy around me, but that's alright.
- All those other supportive folks, I'd try to mention you all... that'd be really energy-sapping, though.
